The Mk48 Machine Gun
A Powerful Weapon in Military Service
The Mk48 is a 7.62x51mm medium machine gun designed and produced by Fabrique Nationale in conjunction with the United States Special Operations Command (USSOCOM). It is intended to replace the M60 series of machine guns as a bridge between the M249/Mk46 series of 5.56x45mm light machine guns and the M240 series of 7.62x51mm medium machine guns.
It has been successfully used by special operations during the early days of Operation Iraqi Freedom and continues to be used by units such as the US Navy Seals, the 75th Ranger Regiment, and Army Special Forces "Green Berets".

The Lambda Defence Mk48 MOD 0 PARA airsoft machine gun faithfully copies the real model of the machine gun to an incredible extent. The solid steel construction makes it one of the toughest and strongest airsoft machine guns on the market.
All external parts are made of steel except for RIS rails and the upper hinged lid, which are made of aluminum. It uses an M249 gearbox type and has a custom LMG 8mm gearbox that is fully upgradeable. Its Short Type motor has Full-Auto and Safety fire modes, and it can accommodate a 7.4v LiPo battery (wired to the handguard w/ Small Tamiya Connector – battery not included). Its Hop-Up is adjustable.
